Job Overview:
Position Title: Financial Accountant
Role Definition:
- As a seasoned financial expert, you’ll interface with both internal and external stakeholders, leveraging a solid background in accounting.
- Your primary role will entail on-site residency within our entity, where you’ll adeptly navigate changes in Company Descriptions (CDs) to optimize overall processes. Drawing from a deep understanding of our business model, you’ll take charge of operational accounting and reporting in accordance with local GAAP & IFRS standards.
- Your responsibilities extend to preparing balance sheets, P&L statements, networking capital analysis, cash flow statements, and comprehensive notes.
- Acting as the first point of contact, you’ll liaise with external auditors, provide insights on tax matters, and facilitate tax audits.
- Moreover, you’ll serve as a pivotal interface for divisions, legal entities, and non-accounting departments.
- In this capacity, you’ll oversee compliance with local legal requirements and spearhead the development of process descriptions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare Local GAAP financials on an annual and quarterly basis.
- Offer audit support and prepare schedules as required.
- Execute tasks within End-to-End (E2E) processes and Monthly/Quarterly End Closing (MEC).
- Provide inputs for IFRS group reporting on an annual and quarterly basis.
- Coordinate and manage Quarterly End Closing (QEC) and Financial Year (FY) closing procedures.
- Handle reporting to governmental authorities.
- Identify process weaknesses and drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
- Maintain regular communication with divisions and legal entities.
- Monitor and uphold quality performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Activity List:
- Execute journal entries including recurring entries, batch postings, and reversals.
- Manage period closure activities including opening, closing, and reopening of books.
- Conduct reconciliation activities during MEC/QEC/YEC.
- Process postings for charging without billing.
- Generate Asset Reports and handle GRIR regrouping.
- Prepare schedules and manage depreciation for Local GAAP/IFRS.
- Assist in preparing disclosures in compliance with SEBI LODR regulations.
- Support the preparation of Q&A sessions for investor conference calls.
- Collaborate with resident and user departments to clarify service requests.
- Analyze period-end transactions for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Preferably Freshers to 2+ years of experience in external reporting within a manufacturing environment, with industrial training during internship.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail are essential.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI/Tableau is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP is required.
- Expert knowledge of financial reporting, IND AS/IFRS is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital.
