Job Description:

L&T Precision Engineering & Systems, located in Chennai, is currently seeking dynamic individuals to join their team for the role of Machinery Engineer. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work on installation and commissioning projects across various critical systems.
Machinery:
- The role involves working in the machinery division, responsible for the installation and commissioning of both auxiliary and main machinery essential for pre and post launching operations.
- This includes installing and commissioning various types of equipment such as pumps, compressors, diesel generators, air conditioning units, and refrigeration plants.
- It also encompasses handling statutory items like sewage treatment plants, oily water separators, and incinerators.
- Additionally, the position entails performing pre and post-launch shafting works, which involve establishing the propulsion line and pouring chock in A, P, and stern tubes.
- Tasks also include the installation of shafts, seals, rudders, and steering gears before pre-launch, followed by aligning gearboxes and engines after launching.
- Furthermore, the job requires expertise in the installation and commissioning of deck machinery, including windlasses, mooring capstans/winches, and lifeboat davits, along with their associated boats.
Technician:
- As a technician specializing in quarry and crusher plant operations, the primary responsibilities include performing preventive, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance regularly to ensure optimal functioning of the crusher plants.
- This involves maintaining the health of the crusher plants through diligent maintenance practices.
- Moreover, the role encompasses the erection and commissioning of crusher plants, ensuring seamless integration and operational readiness.
- This includes setting up and initiating the operational processes of crusher plants to meet production requirements efficiently.
Traffic-Freshers:
As a Traffic/Transportation Design Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Estimating traffic volumes from various surveys such as Classified Volume Count, Origin-Destination, and Axle Load Surveys.
- This involves developing methodologies, coordinating surveys, collecting secondary data for future traffic growth rates, and analyzing data to calculate Design Traffic in Million Standard Axles (MSA), Vehicle Damage Factors (VDF), Axle Load Spectrum, and other necessary parameters for Pavement and Highway Design.
- Designing road furniture and road safety features for diverse roadways (National Highways, Expressways, SMART cities, etc.) using IRC codes and other national and international standards.
- You will produce drawings based on these designs for client submission.
- Coordinating with site/construction teams and other stakeholders as per project requirements, and preparing presentations and supporting calculations for all design aspects.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn Traffic/Transportation Design Engineer with experience in multidisciplinary projects, ideally including Detailed Design and Construction Support of road infrastructure projects in India or internationally.
- Familiarity with bid/tender documents, Highway Geometric Design principles, and proficiency in EXCEL and AutoCAD/Autodesk Civil 3D.
- A team player with a professional attitude suitable for corporate/headquarter environments.
Job Responsibilities
